Traditional Metal Braces

While there are plenty of alternatives on the market today, our most popular treatment option is still the oldest and most reliable in orthodontics: traditional metal braces. Traditional metal braces are made from a series of small brackets and a thing springy archwire running between them, working to apply finely-tuned pressure to the teeth and gradually shift them into alignment. Traditional metal braces are made from stainless steel for unbeatable stability, and modern braces are thinner, more attractive, and more comfortable than ever.

Clear Braces

Clear braces, also called ceramic braces, use the same basic methodology as traditional metal braces. The only difference is that instead of stainless steel, the brackets are made from a clear ceramic composite material that blends in with the color of your teeth. This means that clear braces are significantly less visible than traditional metal braces, providing an aesthetically pleasing treatment option that still comes with the same reliability of traditional braces. The only drawback is that ceramic braces are slightly more fragile than metal braces and require more visits to our office – but for patients seeking a discreet treatment option, clear braces can be highly effective.

Lingual Braces

Lingual braces work the same way as traditional braces and are still made of stainless steel, but they're the only completely-invisible treatment option on the market. How is that possible? The brackets are mounted to the back side (tongue side) of the teeth, meaning they're impossible to see when the mouth is closed! This makes lingual braces the most discreet treatment on the market by far, but they are slightly more expensive and require a little more getting used to than traditional braces.

Self-Ligating Braces

Another braces option is self-ligating braces, which look similar to traditional braces at first pass. The difference, however, is that these use a special form of self-ligating bracket that doesn't require an elastic tie to hold the archwire in place. This allows the archwire to slide freely within the brackets during treatment, making for more efficient tooth movement and more comfortable treatment. Best of all, we offer self-ligating brace with either clear or metal brackets.

Invisalign Clear Aligners

For a completely different orthodontic treatment option, few things can rival Invisalign clear aligners. Invisalign uses a completely different system to straighten the teeth, relying on a series of clear, removable aligners that fit directly over the dental arch. These aligners are nearly impossible to see when worn and are easy to pop in and out for eating, drinking, and oral hygiene, meaning almost no one will know you're straightening your teeth, you can still enjoy your favorite foods, and maintaining spotless oral hygiene is easier than ever. While Invisalign isn't right for everyone, it's an excellent option for patients seeking a convenient, discreet option for orthodontics.
