What Clear Aligners Treat

While clear aligners were once restricted to only a few mild orthodontic conditions, advances in the technology now allow it to treat a wide variety of orthodontic conditions. We can use clear aligners to treat any of the following conditions:

Gaps in Teeth

Whether from missing teeth, abnormal growth of the jawbone, or teeth that are too small for the jawline, gaps in teeth are an inconvenient and often unsightly condition. We can use clear aligners to close gaps between teeth and achieve a complete, healthy smile.

Overbite occurs when the upper front teeth extend out too far over the lower front teeth, often leading to gum problems, wear on the teeth, and often painful jaw problems. We can use clear aligners to equalize the jaws, helping to successfully treat overbite.

The opposite of overbite, underbite occurs when the lower front teeth extend out past the upper. Underbite may lead to wear on the teeth, impaired bite function, and jaw problems, and we can use clear aligners to treat it and stop problems in their tracks.

Open Bite

Open bite is characterized by the upper and lower front teeth not meeting when the jaw is closed, which can impair speech and bite function. We can use clear aligners to bring the upper and lower teeth together, effectively repairing them smile.

Overly Crowded

Crowded teeth are likely the result of a jawline without ample room for the teeth, and they can cause accelerated tooth decay, uneven wear, and even jaw problems. We can use clear aligners to straighten the teeth and relieve crowding.

Crossbite occurs when the lower back teeth sit outside the upper back teeth, which can impair bite function and cause painful jaw problems. We can use clear aligners to correct this condition, creating a healthier and more attractive bite and smile.
